Orchards 2023

In 2023 Bridgend, Moshi and Francistown Rotary Clubs have worked closely to raise funds and support BOTAWA schools in creating orchards at several schools. Planting of 10 trees at each of the Bridgend Schools took place in March and preparations are underway to clear land and prepare for planting at schools in Francistown and Moshi.
Students will be monitoring and sharing their experiences of creating and maintaining the orchards as a long term collaborative project.
The schools in Wales are planting pear, apple and plum trees. Tanzanian schools have begun with mango, avocado, lemon, orange and guava trees.
